Data You Provide Directly
The search boxes send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party provider that returns sponsored results. We do not maintain our own database of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond.
Data Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems record standard server-log data, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use that information in aggregate to keep the site stable and understand which Carson records pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement.
How We Use Data
We use the data above to operate the site, troubleshoot errors, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell a visitor list. We do not build individual user profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Carson People Search links to government portals, county and state records offices, court tools, library collections, and sponsored search services. Each outside site has its own privacy rules. Data submitted to the Los Angeles County RR/CC, Los Angeles Superior Court, the Assessor, voter tools, or a sponsored provider is governed by that site's policy.
Who May Process Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs for site operations. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We may disclose data if valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Because we do not offer accounts, this site does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
California residents may have privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out where the law applies. Because we hold very little, most requests involve checking contact messages and server logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Carson, Los Angeles County, California agencies, or courts are outside our control; those requests must go to the custodian office.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
